A 25-year-old woman has allegedly been raped by her 31-year-old nephew in Ndola’s Mushili township, on the Copperbelt.
The nephew attacked the woman as she was dressing up in her bedroom, after taking a bath.
Copperbelt Province Police Commissioner, PEACEWELL MWEEMBA has confirmed, saying the nephew entered the Aunt’s bedroom and forcefully grabbed her by the waist and pushed her onto the bed.
Mr MWEEMBA has explained that the suspect then covered the mouth of the victim with his hands to prevent her from calling for help.
He has further said the suspect has been arrested and will appear in court soon.
