Mufulira Wanderers stun Zesco United

Mufulira wanderers inflicted the first super league defeat of the season upon zesco united as mufulira wanderers won 2-1 at Shinde Stadium today.

Redemption was the theme of the day for Zesco United who are coming from a loss in the CAF Confederation Cup and this Mid week would have been used to turn things around for them.

Mufulira Wanderers on the other hand needed to end their three match losing Streak and they did just that thanks to goals by Humphrey Masenako and Brian chewe earning a 2-1 win for mighty.

Wanderers now move to the 5th position of stream A with 8 points and zesco united still maintain the 4th having 8 points and a stronger goal difference.

This defeat means zesco united have lost seven straight matches in all Competitions.
