Mayukwayukwa Education Coordinator TOLOSI KABU says the settlement has seen an increase in the enrollment of pupils following the implementation of the free education policy.

Mr. KABU says 7-schools in the settlement have this year seen an increased enrollment of over 100 pupils.

He says the school currently has over 4-thousand pupils against 53 teachers.

Mr. KABU adds that the United Nations High Commission for Refugee -UNHCR- has also provided 22 teachers but states there is need for more teachers.

He said this during the tour of some schools in the settlement which is host to over 22,000 person’s of concern.

And Ugandan Refugee ASLAM KABUGO thanked Government for implementing the free education policy saying his children are now able to access education.
