More Police Officers Deployed In Kalomo’s Nachikungu Ward To Maintain Peace And Order

Government has deployed more police officers in Kalomo’s Nachikungu ward after a minibus belonging to a teacher were damaged by suspected UPND cadres last night.

Southern Province Minister Edify Hamukale says the suspected UPND cadres also damaged a television set and house glass panes belonging to a teacher at Nazilongo primary school in Kasizi area.

The Minister who has since warned the perpetrators of violence to desist from act says government has deployed more police officers to maintain peace ahead of Kalomo’s Nachikungu ward by election tomorrow.

And when contacted UPND southern province chairperson billiard Makwembo rubbished the minister’s allegations saying his members were busy with accreditation at the council yesterday.
