Government has released additional funds for the completion of construction works at Masaiti boarding secondary school which had stalled since 2012.

And General Education Minister Dennis Wanchinga has thanked President Edgar Lungu for his personal intervention in ensuring that the project is finished.

Speaking in Masaiti District today when he inspected works at the school, Dr. Wanchinga said President Lungu’s guidance has resulted in the resumption of the works.

The Minister said government will mobilize resources to complete all similar stalled projects.

Meanwhile Masaiti District Commissioner Patrick Zulu said the authorities received over three million Kwacha for the completion of the classroom blocks, teachers houses and dormitories at Masaiti boarding secondary school.

And residents have praised government for resuming works.

Dr. Wanchinga is on a tour of selected projects and schools in Copperbelt and Luapula provinces.
