MORE FERTILIZER DISTRIBUTED

Government has distributed over twenty thousand bags of D-Compound  Fertilizer for 2021-2022 farming season in Lufwanyama district on the Copperbelt Province.

Lufwanyama District Commissioner Dorothy Chipimpi confirmed the development to ZANIS when she visited the fertilizer deport.

Ms. Chipimpi said Lufwanyama has so far received 29-thousand bags of D-Compound fertilizer out of the of 50-thousand bags earmarked for the district.

She said Nyimba Investments the company contracted to deliver the inputs has since promised to finish the consignment in two weeks’ time.

Ms. Chipimpi described the development as being a big millstone in boosting farming activities in the area.

She has since commended Nyimba Investments for working according to government’s expectations.

The DC observed that early delivery of farming inputs will motivate many people to participate in agriculture activities.

Ms. Chipimpi however warned beneficiaries not to sale the commodity but to use it for the intended purpose.
