Monze Catholic Diocese calls for reconciliation, unity among Zambians

The Catholic Church in Monze Diocese has reaffirmed its commitment to promoting reconciliation, love, unity and peace in the country.

ZANIS reports that Bishop RAPHAEL MWEEMPWA of Monze Diocese said unity can only be achieved if Zambians reconcile with one another and with God.

Delivering his homily at the occasion of the rite dedication of Holy Trinity Cathedral in Monze, Bishop MWEEMPWA said Christians should be an oasis of love, mutual understanding and respect.

Meanwhile Chief CHOONGO of Monze District appealed to government, the Church and the traditional leaders to work together in promoting unity and peace in the country.

And gracing the occasion, Southern Province Deputy Permanent Secretary YOLANTA MALUNGA said the Holy Trinity Cathedral is not only the symbol of unity but has also changed the face of Monze District and Southern Province.
