MMD’S PELETE RESIGNS,JOINS PF

Movement for Multiparty Democracy -MMD- Southern Province Chairperson Oliver Pelete has resigned and joined the Patriotic Front.
Mr. Peletehas been a member of the MMD since 1990, serving in various capacities.
Mr. Pelete says he has been attracted to the PF by the exceptional leadership style of President Edgar Lungu whom he said has moved the country to greater heights of development as evidenced by the massive development projects countrywide.
The Former MMD Leader resigned in Choma today and was received by Patriotic Front member of the central committee Kebby Mbewe.
He has since pledged total loyalty to President Lungu and the entire PF leadership from the lowest to the highest organ.
Welcoming him into the PF, Mr. Mbewe noted that Mr. Pelete’s unique attributes and abilities as a seasoned grassroot organiser will be properly utilized in the PF.
Mr. Mbewe said the patriotic front party will use Mr. Pelete in every way possible to grow the party in Southern Province.
He encouraged Mr. Pelete to feel free to contest any position in the ongoing intraparty polls.
Mr. Pelete served as District Commissioner for Kalomo and Sinazongwe districts for ten years in the MMD regime.
