A-16 year-old girl who was recently discharged by the Director of Public Prosecutions in a case in which she was facing one count of idle and disorderly conduct for walking past a police station in a mini-skirt has been slapped with a fresh charge of malicious damage to property.

The said property being two padlocks valued at K70 only.

In this case, the juvenile and her 28-year-old aunt, Miriam Mwanza are alleged to have damaged two padlocks at Kamanga Police Station, belonging to the Zambia Police Service on 22 December last year.

However, the duo failed to take plea before Lusaka Magistrate Racheal Mwansa because the juvenile’s guardians were not before court.

The duo will return to court on January 21 for plea and commencement of trial.
