Miner dies at Sentinel Mine in North Western Province

A MINER has been killed in an accident at Sentinel Mine in North Western Province.Kalumbila Minerals Limited, General Manager, Sentinel Mine in North Western Provinceconfirmed the sad development to Mwebantu in a statement.“It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wiliam Mwanza, a contractor employee, who passed away on Tuesday, 2nd October, 2018. William sustained fatal injuries while carrying out maintenance work at the Sentinel Process Plant.  Emergency procedure was initiated immediately upon notification of the incident. A further employee sustained minor injuries and was taken to the hospital and is in stable position.” he said.Mr. Rowe said they are investigating the cause of the accident and supporting his family.“Mr. Mwanza’s family have been notified and we will provide every possible support to them during this very difficult time.
