The Millers Association of Zambia says it is yet to Meet Other Stakeholders to look at what impact the recent hike in fuel prices and Electricity Tariffs will have on the tripartite deal to reduce mealie meal prices.

The signed tripartite deal involves the food reserve agency and grain traders association of Zambia who are supplying maize to milling companies and has so far seen 3 milling companies reduce mealie meal prices.

MAZ President Andrew Chintala Explains that the association is mindful of recent developments and a meeting is yet to be called to chart the way forward on the signed tripartite deal.

Speaking to Phoenix News in an interview, Mr. Chintala is hopeful that the Hike in Fuel Prices and Electricity Tariffs will not affect the Deal but indicated that a detailed position will be given after the meeting with other players.
