Micho summons 64 for his first local training camp

Chipolopolo boss Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has started his mandate as the Copper Bullets gaffer summoning a 64 member squad for his first local camp.

The 64 players summoned have been drawn from Copperbelt, North Western and Central Province based Super League and National Division One team with the view of assessing them ahead of preparations for the back to back 2021 AFCON qualification encounters against Botswana.

Micho has also roped in a number of U-20 players including 2019 COSAFA player of the Tournament, Patrick Gondwe.

The second phase of the camp will be held in Lusaka with another 64 players expected to be summoned.

Micho will also have an eye on the April 2020 African Nations Championship where Zambia will be among the 16 African countries vying for glory.

Zambia hosts Botswana on 26th March before traveling to Gaborone for the return leg four days.

Zambia is the bottom of the group with zero points after two rounds of matches.
