Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic has officially been penned his two-year contract.

The former Uganda national team gaffer was unveiled back in February but only signed his two-year deal today. The contract was signed this morning at Government Complex.

This follows the announcement from Government that all the relevant ministries had given Micho’s contract a go-ahead earlier this week.

Sports Minister, Honourable Emmanuel Mulenga represented the Government at the signing ceremony and assured the Serbian gaffer of support from Government.

“Firstly I would like to officially welcome Mr. Milutin Sredojevic to my ministry. Sir, you are welcome as Government will give you the support you need and make your work easy,” Mulenga said.

“We will make sure that we work in hand with FAZ to address the challenges you are going to face in this country. As you are aware His Excellency Edgar Chagwa Lungu the  President of the country is the patron of FAZ and he welcomes you as well to this nation and he believes you can deliver and meet the expectations of the Zambian people. We have had challenges in the past but you coming will make sure we overcome those challenges and that the glory that we had is retained.”

Micho has a tough task ahead of guiding Zambia back to glory days with CHAN 2021, AFCON 2022, and the 2022 Qatar World Cup as his major targets.
