Met Department buys weather stations

The Meteorological Department has bought 120 documented weather stations to enhance predictions of weather conditions.

Department Director EDSON NKONDE says the weather stations will be placed in all districts across country.

He says the Department is mandated to monitor and predict weather in order to advise stakeholders in agriculture and other sectors for effective planning .

Mr. NKONDE said this in an interview with ZNBC News .
