Mathew Nkhuwa Optimistic Of An Amicable Solution To The Zesco-Cec Stand Off

Energy Minister Mathew Nkhuwa says he is determined to resolve the impasse between state power utility firm ZESCO and the Copperbelt Energy Corporation –CEC.This follows the task given to him by the pf central committee to resolve the standoff between ZESCO and CEC by the end of February 2020.

ZESCO Limited and the Copperbelt energy corporation have disagreed their power supply agreement to the mines.

But Energy Minister Mathew Nkhuwa tells Phoenix News that he has been working on the matter to find an amicable solution and assured that by the end of February, the standoff between the two entities will be sorted out.

Mr Nkhuwa however refused to discuss the details of the disagreements between ZESCO and CEC.
