Marketers Have An Important Role To Play In Ensuring Zambia Attains Full Industrialization-GOVT

Government says marketers have an important role to play in ensuring that Zambia attains full industrialization through marketing the country`s abilities.

Speaking in Lusaka this morning at the launch of the 23rd annual marketing conference and gala awards slated for 5th to 8th November 2019 at the Avani Victoria falls resort in Livingstone, Commerce Minister Christopher Yaluma said government recognizes the central and focal role marketing plays in every human and business activity.

In a speech read on his behalf by Ministry Of Commerce Director Of Domestic Trade Sangwa Ngwira, Mr Yaluma stressed that marketers are drivers of change and custodians of strategic thinking hence the need for them to take up their role and begin to drive the strategic planning process.

At the same event, Zambia institute of marketing-ZIM- President Kenneth Sinkamba said the institute is always ready and resolved to partner with government on any assignment that is in line with the marketing profession.

Meanwhile, Mr Sinkamba has disclosed that about k500, 000 out of the k1 million budget has so far been raised towards the hosting of the conference which will attract about 500 delegates among them Malawians.
