Mansa Sugar given ultimatum

Government has given management at Mansa Sugar one month in which to implement policies that are in line with the Employment Act and the country’s labour laws.

Assistant Labour Commissioner JOSEPH KAINDANA is concerned that some workers at Mansa Sugar have not been given contracts.

Mr. KAINDANA said this when Labour Minister BRENDA TAMBATAMBA and other officials inspected the company.

And Ms. TAMBATAMBA urged Mansa Sugar management to quickly address the issues affecting workers.
