By Paul Shalala
Malole Member of Parliament ROBERT KALIMI has returned to Zambia, SEVEN months after he was evacuated to South Africa for specialist treatment following a road accident in Chongwe District.
Mr. KALIMI has thanked government for facilitating his evacuation which he says served his life.
Speaking at the KENNETH KAUNDA International Airport in Lusaka upon arrival this afternoon, Mr. KALIMI said he was evacuated when he could not talk but now he is able to do so.
And Parliamentary Chief Whip STAFFORD MULUSA said lawmakers are happy to see Mr. KALIMI back from South Africa.
Meanwhile, Leader of the Opposition in Parliament ROBERT CHABINGA said the decision by President HAKAINDE HICHILEMA to allow Mr. KALIMI to be evacuated to South Africa shows that he has love for every Zambian.
And former Health Minister CHITALU CHILIFYA said Mr. KALIMI still needs some checkups before he can return to his full fitness.
Dr. CHILUFYA said the Malole Member of Parliament still has some discomforts and will need to be attended to from home.
