LUSAMBO INSTITUTES COVID CRACK DOWN

(ZANIS ) A team of police and City Council officials has been tasked to conduct COVID-19 enforcement crack downs on bars and night clubs in Lusaka, starting this evening.

Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo says the night patrols are part of the greater efforts to curb the Coronavirus as the second wave of the deadly strain continues to ravage people in communities.

Mr. Lusambo has warned that there will be NO compromise in the enforcement of COVID-19 regulations in Lusaka, the epicenter of the Covid 19.

He has since advised patrons of bars and night clubs to purchase take away beverages for home consumption.

Mr. Lusambo says the Presidential directive to implement the COVID-19 measures is non-negotiable.

He says the measures are for the good of all the people and the nation.

Mr. Lusambo has vowed to personally lead the Covid-19 enforcement campaigns, effective tonight.
