Lusaka bus driver shot on the forehead, Police Say

A 42 year old man of Lusaka’s Garden House area identified as Kenny Makoba Chimfwembe has died on the spot after being shot at on the forehead by a Matero businessman.
And Police have arrested the suspect identified as John Lungu aged 44 years of Matero who also a Hiace minibus owner for the shooting.
Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said the incident happened on Thursday at about 17:30 hours at Speed Star tyre Fitment Centre situated along Lumumba Road opposite RTSA Offices.
Katongo said the development started when one the accused person’s drivers identified as Davies Zulu driving a Toyota Hiace bus registration number BAF 9727 was confronted by other mini bus drivers from Lumumba bus stop after they found him loading passengers along the road.
She said the driver then reported to his boss (the accused) who later went and confronted the drivers and after exchanging bitter words with then, the pulled out his TKW 9milimeter pistol and shot Makoba on the right forehead.
Katongo said the suspect is detained in Police custody and the pistol alleged to have been used in the act has been recovered.
And Katongo said the body of the deceased person is in UTH mortuary awaiting post mortem
