LUNGU PLEASED WITH PEACEFUL LUPOSOSHI

President Edgar Lungu is pleased with the peaceful atmosphere in Lupososhi District, Northern Province ahead of the local government by elections in the area.
President Lungu says there is more peace and understanding than violence among various stakeholders in the run up to the Lupososhi Council Chairperson elections.
He was speaking to journalists at City Airport in Lusaka upon arrival from Lupososhi .
The president said it is his wish that there should always be peace in times of any elections.
Meanwhile President Lungu says there is need to give space to the courts in the country to dispense justice.
President Lungu says he is not like those who only believe in the courts’ ability to dispense justice when they win cases.
He was reacting to journalists’ question on his position concerning the Constitutional Court’s decision to declare Patriotic Front-PF Munali Member of Parliament Nkando Luo as duly elected.
The President said the Constitutional Court has done its work.
Constitutional Court Judge Enoch Mulembi today reversed the High Court’s decision that nullified the Munali Parliamentary election results.
