By Hector Simfukwe- President Edgar Lungu has urged people in public offices to be humble.

President Lungu says it requires the grace of God for one to be humble when in high office.

He says those who exercise power risk destroying themselves and the country if they do not look to God for help.

The President said this when he met the clergy in Namwala.

And President Lungu advised Church leaders to counsel politicians who are their members whenever they go wrong.

He said the Church should take advantage of politicians who will be visiting them to get votes to preach the word of God.

And speaking on behalf of the Pastors, Darlington Chintu praised the Head of State for continuing to respect the Church.

He said the Church will continue praying for leaders and peaceful elections in 2021.

The Pastors in Namwala are also happy that the President Lungu has been helping the Church.
