Zambian winger Lubambo Musonda has been named as the second fastest foreign player in Poland’s top tier, PKO Ekstraklasa this year.

Musonda’s highest pace so far this year was 33.64 KM/H while 36-year-old Spaniard Igor Angulo is the fastest foreigner clocking 34.07 KM/H during Górnik’s 2-0 win over Arek back in February.

Filip Mladenović from Lechia Gdańsk came in third. The 28-year-old Serb can boast of a sprint of 33.57 km / h.

However, Musonda falls down the ladder when local players are put into consideration with his Śląsk Wrocław teammate Przemysław Płacheta having clocked 34.57km/h during the match against Lubin Basin.

Michał Mak from Wisła Kraków is the second-fastest player in the list of the Polish players in the PKO Ekstraklasa players with a top speed of 34.38 km / h in the match between Kraków and Lech Poznań.

Sebastian Musiolik from Raków Częstochowa came in third among local players at a speed of 34.35 km / h.

The above lists of top speeds are only for the year 2020 and when the full season is put into account, Mateusz Wdowiak from Cracovia holds the speed record with – 35.16 km, Przemysław Wiśniewski from Górnik Zabrze – 35.13 km / h comes in second while Patryk Klimala from Jagiellonia Białystok comes in third at – 35.00 km / h.

The PKO Ekstraklasa games will return this Friday after a three months long break due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
