Traditional leaders in Luangwa District have appealed to all political parties vying for the Mandombe ward by election to conduct peaceful campaigns.

Chief Mphuka of the Chikunda people says there is NO need for political parties to fight but should concentrate on issue-based campaigns.

He is however impressed with the many developmental projects the government is implementing in the District.

And Senior Chief Mburuma of the Nsenga-Ludzi people has emphasised the need for people in Luangwa to embrace peace and unity.

Chief Mburuma has commended government for involving traditional leaders in various issues including development.

The two traditional leaders said this when Lusaka Province Minister Bowman Lusambo called on them in Luangwa District today.

And Mr. Lusambo assured the traditional leaders that government will ensure all developmental projects in the District are completed.

He said President Edgar Lungu wants to see development taken to all parts of the country, including Luangwa District.
