“Love Zambia Festival is on”

… Bishop Chigamba says the festive aim is to transform community engagement by fostering unity and local involvement through cultural celebrations.

Lusaka, Zambia24 – (3-09-2024) – The Love Zambia Festival is set to reshape community engagement with a focus on fellowship and a diverse range of activities designed to unite Zambians from all walks of life.

David Chigamba, the Africa Director of the festival, is advocating for a nationwide transformation that transcends religious observance.

At a press briefing, Chigamba shared his vision for a Zambia where citizens honor God while enhancing the nation’s moral and social fabric.

“The festival’s message is clear: transformation should extend beyond the church,” Chigamba said.

“We envision a Zambia where people apply their faith in every aspect of life to create a positive impact.”

The festival aims to foster national unity by engaging a broad audience, including business leaders, government officials, and representatives from non-governmental organizations.

This year’s event, reimagined to appeal to a wider audience, especially young people, marks a shift from its traditional religious crusade model.

Organized into four phases—Preparation, Proclamation, Proportional, and Preservation—the festival seeks to make a lasting impact on the community.

Currently in the Proportional Phase, organizers are seeking public and media support to raise awareness about the event.

The festival will kick off with a press conference on September 9th at Touch Per Month, followed by the main event at Heroes Stadium on September 13th.

Activities include medical checks, educational outreach, and performances by local and international artists.

Key attendees include Don Moore, arriving on September 6th, and another prominent individual expected on September 11th.

“This festival represents a movement to foster community spirit and drive local engagement,” Chigamba noted.

He emphasized the festival’s inclusivity, inviting people from all backgrounds, not just Christians.

Chigamba also stressed the need for pride and responsibility among Zambians. “We want people to take pride in their identity and actively contribute to the country’s development.

This message is for everyone, urging us to love our nation and understand that true love comes from Jesus, who teaches us to love one another.”

As the festival approaches, Chigamba’s vision resonates with many who believe collective effort is key to meaningful change in Zambia.

By promoting unity and ethical values, the Love Zambia Festival aims to be a catalyst for transformation and community improvement.
