LIVINGSTONE RECORDS 4 NEW YEAR BABIES
Livingstone district has recorded four New Year babies, three at Mahatma Ghandhi Clinic and one at the Livingstone Central Hospital.
Mahatma Ghandhi Clinic Acting Sister-In-Charge, Nolia Shaba, says the first baby delivered at the clinic, this year, was born at 24:15 hours.
Livingstone Mayor, Eugene Mapuwo, who has delivered New Year hampers to the mothers at Mahatma Ghandhi Clinic, appealed to the parents to take good care of the babies.
Meanwhile, hundreds of locals and tourists in Livingstone last night thronged the central business district celebrate the New Year.
And Mr. Mapuwo has also praised the residents, Police and the Road Transport and Safety Agency – RTSA officers, for ensuring that the celebrations in the Tourist Capital were held peacefully.
