Revenge will be the main meal on the menu as Maamba Energy take a kick start there Provincial Division One South campaign against the Airmen Blue Arrows.

The Zambia Air Force Livingstone based sponsored side humbled the miners 1-0 in there own back yard last time they visited the mine, A result which nearly gave Arrows the ascendence en-route to the would be a historic back to back promotion to the new National league which was lost at the last minute when the airmen lost the must-win game in katima.

The game brings funny memories of last seasons first game as Blue Arrows traveled to the mining town without cards and found the home side too had no cards which led to the game being rescheduled and Arrows had to r again travel to Maamba and managed to win the game.

In 2019, The two teams have played each other twice with Blue Arrows winning both games. Last season, Maamba conceded 2 goals against the visitors, the cool mine side lost in the second leg 1-0 and went ahead to lose again in the rescheduled first leg by a solitary goal too.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Pumulo Pumulo ( Maamba): This is a match that will be won in the midfield and the attacking midfielder will want to do what he knows best to ensure the miners’ stamp authority on the game and earn their revenge.

Mike Musukuma ( Arrows): The striker can play on the wing or as Centre forward. He is a unique player who Maamba should take note of in every minute of the game as he can score from any angle, position if given any chance.

Mike ( Maamba ) – is a player who takes things in his own hands when the going gets tough and can help any team get maximum points and Arrows have to put him on a check.

Answer Choose ( Arrows)- He is among players who can change results in any minute of the match. The left-footed winger has pace and he is difficult to handle once he goes on a run and Maamba has to watch out.

FORMER PLAYERS VIEWS

Former Maamba Energy player Ackim Jr Chanda is confident his team will carry the day.

Penzi Mweemba who is a former Arrows Keeper believes the match will be tough but his former employers remain favorites.
