LILAYI POLICE TRAINING COLLEGE GETS FACELIFT

By Lucky Phiri-Twelve Senior Zambia Police officers have adopted a room each at the Lilayi Police Training College Mess for Rehabilitation.

The officers will upgrade each room into a self-contained facility at a cost of over 44 thousand Kwacha each.

Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja said this in Lusaka today when he received a donation of paint from National Savings and Credit Bank -NATSAVE- valued at 28 thousand Kwacha.

Mr. Kanganja said the paint will go towards the renovation of part of the Police training college mess.

He has since implored other business entities to emulate NATSAVE and help the Police service renovate other infrastructure at the college which is in a deplorable state.

Mr. Kanganja said government alone cannot manage to work on all the infrastructure, hence the need for stakeholders’ participation.

And College Commandant Charles Mbita said through the help from cooperating partners and Police staff, the face of the College Mess will be uplifted.

Meanwhile, NATSAVE Acting Chief Executive Officer Keith Hamusute said the Bank has been motivated to donate to the Police to ensure the upcoming officers are learning in a condusive atmosphere.
