Lack of toilets at Lusaka’s Munyaule market poses a serious health risk, Ntalasha Chisha says

BORN Short Living Tall (BSLT) Executive Director Ntalasha Chisha says traders at Lusaka’s Munyaule market in Chalala risk contracting waterborne diseases such as cholera or typhoid due to lack of toilets at the trading place.
Chisha has appealed to the Lusaka City Council and Kabwata Member of Parliament Given Lubinda to ensure that the plight of traders and customers at Munyaule Market is attended to.
“As an organization that seeks to empower the underprivileged people in society and advocate for a better livelihood we want to appeal to Lusaka City Council and Kabwata Member of Parliament Honorable Given Lubinda to ensure that the plight of traders and customers at Munyaule Market is attended to,”Chisha said.
Chisha said during the tour of Lusaka City, the organization observed that there are no toilets and running water at Muyaule Market in Chalala hence posing a health threat to the life of traders as well as customers.
Chisha said his office will write to Lubinda and to Lusaka Mayor Miles Sampa to ensure that this issue is urgently attended to
