Kundananji signs for Kazakhstan side

Zambia women national soccer team striker Rachael Kundananji has signed for Kazakhstan champions BIIK Kazygurt on a two-year-long loan deal from Indeni Roses.

Kundananji rose to prominence in the build up to the 2018 Women Africa Cup of Nations when she scored a hat-trick against African Women Football Powerhouse Ghana in a game Zambia came from 2 – 0 to win 3 – 2.

The forceful striker carried her good form to the Africa Cup where she scored three goals in three games.

On the local scene she was impressive in the 2018 season as she netted 21 times in 18 games.

She becomes the second Zambian lady to move to abroad after Barbara Banda signed for Spanish side EDF Legroño in October.
