KUFAKWANDI’S BURIAL SET FOR SATURDAY

The body of Sesheke Member of Parliament Frank Kufakwandi, who died on Monday in South Africa,has been flown back home.
Southern Province Permanent Secretary Mwangala Liomba, who received the body at Harry Mwaanga Nkumbula International Airport, in Livingstone on Friday, said government is deeply saddened by the loss of Mr. Kufakwandi.
Mr. Liomba said it was the hope of the government that Mr. Kufakwandi would return home in good health to continue serving and contributing to the development of Sesheke district and the nation.
And Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Emmanuel Mwamba, also described Mr. Kufakwandi’s death as a great loss to the nation.
Meanwhile, United Party for National Development – UPND Secretary General, Stephen Katuta , said the party is devastated by the loss of Mr. Kufakwandi.
Mr. Kufakwandi died on November 12 while undergoing specialised treatment in South Africa and his body has been transported to Sesheke for burial at Chisu village on Saturday .
And Nalikwanda Member of Parliament, Professor Geoffrey Lungwangwa, said Mr. Kufakwandi had brought to Parliament a unique experience and professionalism, having served within and outside the country under the Africa Development Bank – ADB.
