KK PRAISES ECL FOR LEADING ZAMBIA AMIDST COVID -19

First Republican President Kenneth Kaunda has praised President Edgar Lungu and government for ably leading the country amidst challenges arising from the Covid-19 Pandemic.

Dr. Kaunda says fighting the coronavirus pandemic has not been an easy task for the country and the world at large.

He says Zambians need to continue adhering to prescribed health guidelines as provided by the Ministry of Health and the World Health Organisation-WHO.

In his message to ZNBC News ahead of Zambia’s 56th Independence Anniversary, Dr. Kaunda urged Zambians to maintain peace.

The 56th independence commemorations are under the theme 24th October 2020, Zambia At 56: One Land, One Nation – Building Our Future Proud And Free.

And Fourth President Rupiah Banda has urged Zambians to remain united regardless of their political affiliation, religion and colour.

Mr. Banda also thanked President Lungu for his message of goodwill after having been diagnosed with Cancer of the Colon.

He also thanked opposition political leaders, the church, and Zambians from all walks of life for wishing him a quick recovery.

Mr. Banda also prayed for his fellow Zambians who are suffering from different aliments and wished them a quick recovery.
