Kennedy Musonda wins Kitwe derby for Power…Wins for Prison Leopards, Chambishi, FC MUZA and Red Arrows

In-form Kennedy Musonda was the  hero of the day as the Kitwe derby came alive while there were wins for FC MUZA, Chambishi, Prison Leopards and Red Arrows.

The MTN Super League came to life with week 14 on Saturday with the Kitwe derby headlining the show.

Nkana dominated the play from the word go and came close with Jacob Ngulube, Moussa Lemisa but their best chance fell to Diamond Chikwekwe who somehow missed with only the goalkeeper to beat.

Abayellow however made use their chance, five minutes into the second half, Kennedy Musonda rising highest to head in a Joshua Mutale cross.

In Ndola, Buildcon’s poor run continued as they succumbed to a 2-0 loss at the hands of FC MUZA.

Goals from Bob Angwenga and Emmanuel Manda secured maximum points for the Lameck Banda tutored outfit.

ZESCO United’s woes seems to be deepening as they suffered their third straight loss.

Goals from Malni Gondwe and Francis Kasaka gave Lewingtone Mujembe’s men their fourth win in five games.

In Lusaka, Goals from George Chaloba and James Chilimina helped Red Arrows return to winning ways after a four match draw streak.

Christopher Zulu’s goal was just a consolation as Nkwazi failed to win to secure maximum points in their fifth game in a row losing 2-1.

Meanwhile Priosn Leopards edged Lumwana Radiants in a five goal thriller. The loss means Randiants are winless in their last 15 league matches.
