KCM Partners With Lancaster University

Konkola Copper Mines – KCM has partnered with Lancaster University of the United Kingdom – UK in a seven million pounds entrepreneurship programme.The Recirculate programme is aimed to train one hundred local entrepreneurs and members of KCM staff in entrepreneurship courses.Speaking during the official opening of the cluster workshop for SMES and Researchers in Chingola, KCM Chief Executive Officer – CEO Chris Shepard  hopes the programme will uplift the economic aspect of the town.Mr Shepard   hopes that the partnership with Lancaster  University will help strengthen local business performance.He says KCM will continue making strides to build capacity for the small and medium enterprises in it’s area of operations.Mr Shepard  also revealed that KCM is still carrying out it’s core business  of the organisation.
