By Angela Limwany-

The Kazungula Bridge on the Zambezi River and the one stop border facilities in Zambia and Bostwana need over One Million United States dollars for maintenance annually.

Bridge Project Manager, PIUS SEONE says no funding is currently being channeled to the maintenance of the bridge project due to the absence of an authority that needs to be set up by the two countries.

Mr. SEONE disclosed this to the Zambia Revenue Authority-ZRA Board that was on a familiarization tour of the three phased facility.

And ZRA Board Chairperson, CALEB FUNDANGA said there is an urgent need for the two countries to set an authority that will help manage the massive infrastructure to avoid it deteriorating.
