Kawana urges media to give public accurate information

Information and Media Permanent Secretary THABO KAWANA has called on media practitioners to continue upholding values of the professionalism.

Mr. KAWANA has also urged journalists to separate between social media and professional journalism to be able to give accurate information to the public.

Mr. KAWANA was speaking when he launched the 2024 Southern Africa Development Community -SADC- media awards entries whose deadline for submission of entries is 31st March 2024.

At the same event, the Permanent Secretary also handed over certificates of participation to ZNBC staffer PAUL SHALALA, who scooped 3rd position broadcast at the 2023 SADC awards, while JONATHAN MUKUKA of ZANIS also finished third under the print category.
