KATELE SPEAKS PEACE

Former Finance Minister Katele Kalumba has called for issue-based politics in the run up to the 2021 general elections.

Dr. Kalumba says he has observed with concern that current political discourse is dominated by personal attacks and insults at the expense of addressing the plight of the people.

He was speaking in an interview with ZNBC news at his home in Chienge.

Dr. Kalumba said he wants to see violence free campaigns ahead of the 2021 general polls.

He also observed that the Zambia Centre for Inter-party Dialogue -ZCID- is not getting sufficient support from political members.

Dr. Kalumba further said there is need for people to address real issues that will put Zambia’s economy back on track.
