Minister of Home Affairs Stephen Kampyongo has ordered a thorough investigation into the murder of a Lusaka police officer who was shot in the stomach last Saturday by his fellow police officer.
He has directed Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja to ensure that justice prevails in this matter.
Mr. Kampyongo, who has regretted the death of constable Kapila who died on Sunday from a gunshot wound, has charged that, as Minister of Home Affairs, he will not take this matter lightly.
He says police officers assigned to investigate this matter should take into consideration the provisions of the Zambia Police Code of Ethics.
