Kamoko happy with FIFA support to grassroot football

Ministry of Education Permanent Secretary JOE KAMOKO has praised FIFA and the Football Association of Zambia-FAZ- for their partnership to support grass root football in schools.

KAMOKO says the initiative will benefit the schools both locally and will expose the learners to international experience.

KAMOKO said this in a speech read on his behalf by PRISCA SIMUKONDA, Ministry of Education Director of Standards, Assessment and Evaluation at the Launch of the Football for schools program in Lusaka.

He said the programme will encourage others learners in future to venture into football as a career.

And, FAZ General Secretary, RUEBEN KAMANGA said the Association recognises the importance of grass root football.

KAMANGA said this has been evidently seen through various academies that have been set up around the country.
