South African PSL side Kaizer Chiefs have demanded that Zesco United striker Lazarus Kambole starts training with his new teammates this week. Chiefs Completed the signing of Kambole earlier this month, The Chililabombwe born striker penning a three-year deal.

Zesco United said that Lazarus Kambole would only join Kaizer Chiefs on July 1, the Amakhosi have now given an update of their own on the Zambian star.

The 25-year-old forward grabbed a goal, an assist and the Man of the Match award over the weekend as ZESCO lifted the Absa Cup title, and it was thought that he would also take part in their final league game of the season this weekend before beginning life at Naturena.

Now though, with Chiefs due back for pre-season tomorrow, it has been confirmed that the Zambian international has played his last game for ZESCO and will instead begin life with his new teammates this week as they prepare for the campaign ahead.

The club revealed on their official website, “New signee, Lazarus Kambole will after penning a three-year deal join and meet his new teammates for the first time on Wednesday. Kambole joins Amakhosi from Zambian giants Zesco United. He helped Zesco lift a Cup on Saturday in his last game for the Zambian outfit.”

Kambole joins Chiefs with a big reputation having performed well for the Zambian giants in CAF competitions of late, and Ernst Middendorp will be delighted that he will start pre-season as soon as possible.
