Kamanga Community upcoming youngsters hoping to shine one day

Kamanga Community in Lusaka has got a number of young football talents who aspire to one day play and showcase their talent on the big stage.

But that comes with its own challenges like the luck of opportunities, and the community at large not been properly noticed when it comes to football.

However, Kamanga has produced a numerous Super League stars like Red Arrows Veteran Daniel Sibanda, Sydney Phiri who is currently on the books of Kabwe Warriors, Green Buffaloes striker Friday Samu, Former Mighty Mufulira Wanderers and Zanaco holding midfielder Mutale Mubanga, Adamson Mulao formerly of Green Eagles and Kebson Kamanga who turns out for Zanaco as a left-back.

Kamanga Rangers and Jumbe Sports academy are two active teams in the community and hopes of the community to develop the next star are on the shoulders of these two teams.

Samson Phiri who is the head coach at Jumbe Sports Academy is the man who gave Arsenal Tula Winger Lamerck Banda his first real chance at Manzi football club and is expected to give chance to some up and coming stars in Kamanga.

Red Arrows legend Daniel Sibanda is also trying hard to revive football in Kamanga with his foundation PAT DAN where his glooming youngsters from the age of 10years. Under his foundation, Sibanda has identified a number of very talented players.

Some young talented players in Kamanga have ended up being frustrated due to luck of Opportunities and sponsorship.

Some unfortunate ones have ended up abusing alcohol and other illicit drugs.

The community at the moment has promising young players like Sostan Banda a goalkeeper, Midfielder Wilson Phiri and striker Edward Musonda all from Jumbe sports Academy.

Others are Young Luka Ngongo of PSA Academy, Midfielder Joseph Chola Lungu, and Midfielder Cosmas Mulando who plays lime Ivory Coast legend Yaya Toure and not forgetting Mattews Mwale who is known as Dinho because of his wonderful skills.

The hopes of the community are to see these young stars get an opportunity and shine at the biggest stage.
