Kalampa set for a North African club job

Zambian glamour side Nkana will face a North African club in the quarter finals of the Total CAF Confederations Cup.

And the draws for both CAF Champions League and Confederations Cup will be held on Wednesday.

The 12 times record Zambian Super League champions will avoid Sudanese giants Al Hilal as teams from the same group can’t be paired.

Both Al Hilal and Nkana were in Group C together with Zesco United and Asante Kotoko of Ghana.

With Al Hilal out, and having come out second in the group, Beston Chambeshi’s will now face one of  the other group winners.

RS Berkane and CS Sfaxien of Morocco and Tunisia respectively are the likely opponents in the last 8.

There could be a date against Egyptian side Zamalek.

Six of the eight quarter finalist has been dominated by North African clubs. Only Nkana and Kenyan side Gor  Mahia are from East and Southern Africa.
