Some former students of Kalabo Trade Training Institute in Western Province have praised government for taking education closer to them.

Likonge Likonge 45 has narrated to ZNBC News how his automotive mechanics workshop has grown after attaining a trade certificate from Kalabo trade training institute despite not completing his general education.

Mr. Likonge a father of 5 says his clientele has gained confidence in his workmanship and he is confident to compete for jobs in any institution.

And Kalabo District Commissioner Makukwa Kamwi says Kalabo trades training institute has brought improvement to the living standards of the local people who have acquired hands on life skills.

He says the institution is not only providing education on bursary for Kalabo people but also Sikongo and other surrounding areas.

Mr Kamwi has since thanked government for its fair distribution of development in all parts of the country.
