By Reuben Chomba:

Opposition Democratic Party President Harry Kalaba has advised President Hakainde Hichilema to hasten the process of appointing Permanent Secretaries for smooth running of government business.

Mr. Kalaba says delays  in appointment of controlling officers has created a void in the operations of government.

He was speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka today.

And Mr. Kalaba has commanded the new dawn administration for giving public media space to operate independently.

He said it is encouraging to note that under the new dawn administration, various stakeholders including political parties are now being covered by the public media.

The opposition leader has also praised the government for its inclusiveness on national events as was the case during this year’s Independence day celebrations were all political parties were invited.
