By Mark Ziligone:

Residents of Kabwata constituency have appealed to the candidate who will be elected as area Member of Parliament in tomorrow’s by-election Not to be selective when delivering development in the constituency.

Fides Kanjele, a senior citizen in the area says there has been unequal distribution of development in the constituency for the past 15 years.

Ms. Kanjele says this is why some areas like Mapoloto have remained underdeveloped without proper sanitation system and road infrastructure.

And, Julius Mwanza another resident in the area told a ZNBC Crew that visited the constituency that the incoming MP should be different from the previous MPs who were selective in delivering development.

Mr. Mwanza said the incoming MP should also look into the plight of youths by creating jobs for them through youth empowerment.

He said a lot of youths in the constituency have resorted to alcohol abuse due to lack of employment and recreation activities.
