Kabimba goes to file in without Cadres, ‘we don’t want confusion’

Rainbow Party leader Wynter M. Kabimba has successfully filed in his nomination for the August 11, 2016 election, reports Zambian Eye Reporter.
Kabimba filed his nomination along side his deputy Dr Cosmas Musomali who is his running mate.
Kabimba who arrived at the Mulungushi International Conference Cente around 15:15 hrs with a sizeable entourage managed to present all his credentials which were verified by ECZ’s Deputy Director for Elections Chomba Chella.

After successfully verifying his credentials and that of his running mate, he proceeded to the Commissioner of Oaths and took an affirmation. Kabimba was successfully validated as the Presidential Candidate by Hon Justice Esau Chulu the Electoral Commission of Zambia chairperson and Presidential Returning officer.
“Having looked at your credentials, I wish to inform you [Kabimba] that according to Article 100 and 110, reading rule seven of the Presidential nomination act together with Statutory Instrument 101 of 1991 you have been validly nominated to be the Presidential Candidate” Hon Justice Chulu said, “ I have also determined that Dr Cosmas S Musumali is validly nominated as a Presidential Running mate”
Immediately after getting his nomination, Kabimba left with his entourage to Lilayi where he was suppose to address his supporters.
Asked by the media why he didn’t bring his supporters to be addressed at the nomination centre, Kabimba said his party doesn’t like confusion and would rather address his members away from where the ECZ are conducting its work.
