In the last six years, Zambia has struggled against Ricardo Manetti’s side.

“Namibia is not a pushover, it is a strong team. We are the ones playing at home, we have to make sure that we get a positive result,” the Green Eagles coach said.

With veterans like Rainford Kalaba and Kennedy Mweene not in the match day squad, Chiyangi has handed the captain armband to the TP Mazembe full back turned centre back.

This will be the first time, the former Konkola Mine Police defender will be leading the side.

In the post-AFCON 2012 triumph he will be the second player not to have been in Gabon to lead the team in either an AFCON or World Cup qualifier.

The other player is Saudi Arabian based and former Zanaco defender Ziyo Tembo.

In 2013, Bronson Chama led Zambia to Cosafa Cup triumph on home soil.

The match will kick off at 18h30 at Lusaka’s National Heroes Stadium.
