Kabanshi used as sacrificial lamb- NDC

The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has charged that Emerine Kabanshi has been used as sacrificial lamb following her dismissal as community development and social welfare minister over fraudulent activities in the social cash transfer leading to donors withholding aid.

NDC Secretary General Mwenya Musenge says the dismissal of Ms Kabanshi is selective, and raises more questions.

Mr Musenges states that those who have worked with Ms Kabanshi would agree that she is a person who cannot even kill a fly and later on deep her hands into public coffers.

He has told Q-news that the real culprits at the center of this embarrassing graft scandal have not been touched by the President.

Mr Musenge says the key officials in this fiasco could include the Permanent Secretaries at both the Ministry of Community Development and Communications who should also be dismissed
