Julian Mwila is ZNBC Board Chair

The Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation -ZNBC- Board of Directors has elected Juliana Mwila as the new Board Chairperson.Ms Mwila who served as Vice Chairperson until her election replaces Ms. Mulenga Kapwepwe, while Mr. Nalumino Chyapeni takes up as the Vice chairperson.Information and Broadcasting Service Minister Dora Siliya has confirmed this in a statement to ZNBC News today.Ms Siliya announced the election of Ms Mwila pursuant to Section 4( 4) of the Zambia National Broadcasting Corporation Amendment Act Number 20 of 2002 Chapter 154 of the laws of Zambia.She said Ms Mwila is a seasoned journalist who has vast experience in the media industry having worked for government in various positions in the ministry of information and broadcasting services for 35 years before retirement in 2011.Ms Siliya said Ms Mwila also held positions as Editor in Chief at the Zambia News Agency -ZANA , Director Planning and Press before she served as ZNBC Director General.
