The Chief Justice says the Judiciary has also instituted a task force of seven judges whose mission is to dismantle backlog cases from 2015 downwards.
Justice Mambilima was speaking when she officially opened a Judiciary and Law Association of Zambia sensitization workshop for legal practitioners on the proposed amendments to the high court rules and ethics and understanding publicity rules.
She said LAZ has a mandate to contribute to the development of law by initiating law reforms.
Justice Mambilima said the innovations are in line with the constitutional mandate of ensuring speedy and affordable dispensation of justice.
And LAZ President Eddie Mwitwa said legal practitioners must fully participate in improving the country’s legal system.
